It would be beneficial for FME to support IFC4x3 (reader, schema, documentation and writer) in a better way, as it has officially received the ISO 16739-1:2024 certification. since many of the projects now require IFC4x3 for data delivery.

Thanks @danii for your request and comments. As it happens, our new IFC Tech Preview reader

‘Industry Foundation Classes (IFC) (Tech Preview)’ short name IFC_API already has support for IFC4x3. For a detailed list of IFC versions currently supported see:

See: https://docs.safe.com/fme/2024.1/html/FME-Form-Documentation/FME-ReadersWriters/ifc_api/ifc_api.htm

At the moment we are working on the writer and are looking forward to have this available soon in an upcoming release. This is a brand new IFC reader / writer implementation based on the ODA library. Since it is new it is currently under ‘Tech Preview’ and we definitely appreciate any testing and feedback users can provide.
