FME Server Apps: Add option to Share

Related products:FME Flow

As an FME Server Author I would like the option to share FME Server Apps, directly from the 'Manage Workspace/Gallery Apps' list page as I can with my other FME Server Items (Schedules, Automations, Repositories etc) so that I can make these accessible to other users/roles without having to request assistance from my FME Server Admin to update their security permissions.

Bonus: When I select 'share' it would be nice if the App dependencies (e.g. Workspace/Web or Database Connections/Files) were also listed with the possibility of sharing these with the user/role in the same window.

I'm surprised it is not already possible.

A user wanted to add his team mate's workspace app to his own gallery app and I had to do the sharing for them as admin.

It would also be way more convenient to provide edit permission when someone goes on holiday.

This is absolutely necessary. I have created an App Gallery for our GIS team to publish report workspaces to so that city clients can run reports whenever they need without tying up a staff member running it manually but no one can manage the app gallery except me. How do I enable other fmeadmin users to be able to modify the gallery and workspace apps?

Definitely needed. We’re administering shared Flow instances for different user groups, and cannot grant admin or superuser privileges to app creators.

This creates a fair bit of work for us, because we currently have to manually update role privileges for each new workspace app, since the users can’t do it themselves.

In our organization we also are in need of this feature to properly have our authors administer their published Apps. We now work around this by adding a separate user (non SSO) to their roles.

Thanx in advance!
