Hello everybody,
I found many discussions about this topic, but, I just want to renew this discussion. Is there any way, how to convert word (docx) file to PDF format in FME, please?
Thank You so much for all tips!

Hi @lazarlubomir,
Unfortunately we don't currently have a Microsoft Word reader. If that is something you are interested in, there is an Idea here that you can upvote and share your use case to inform development.
In the meantime, it looks like tim_wood had some success by changing the .docx to .html and using the HTML Table Reader instead in his Q&A answer here, and that might be worth a try for reading it in. If you are successfully able to read it in, you could then write it out to PDF, though I think Tim's data may have originally been table data. Some other users have tried converting to textfiles as well, although it will lose formatting.

Hello @JovitaAtSafe,
thank You so much for infos. Your meant ideas are good, but I think that cant help me, because I need to create complete copy of docx to pdf (contains headers, paraghraphs, tables, styles etc.). Is not there any way how to docx read as raster and then convert to PDF? PDF copy must be the same as source DOCX. And do You plan to add MSWORD reader into future versions?
Thank You so much! :-)

You may also want to look at other tools using Word itself to automate PDF creation, that way you'll be guaranteed the exact same result as in Word.

Hi Lubo, as for a MS Word reader, there doesn't seem to be a roadmap for that planned yet but perhaps with more interest via that Ideas page there may be more consideration for it in the future. No problem!

Hello @JovitaAtSafe, great idea, I will add it on idea walll But, when we touch MSWORD write, I have just add one question about MSWORD writer - https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/86477/ms-word-writer-font-settings-in-table.html Is there any possibility how to solve text font and size in table? And what about location image next to paragraph?
Thank You @JovitaAtSafe so much!
