Question

Trouble writing kmz files larger than 5 kB

I'm using FME desktop workstation and application server to write output kmzs to our client server. For some reason, kmz files exceeding 5 kB in size result in empty files with 1 kB file size, regardless of whether executing at the desktop or from the server. However when writing to a kml to the same client server or writing to the desktop, it works fine as usual.

The user account used is able to write large files to the server location. The application log files show nothing unusual. There didn't appear to be a user permission issue. The service account looked fine.

Where else should I look to troubleshoot?

FME 2013 SP3 Build 13528

The translation doesn't fail. It runs successfully each time.

The kmz fails to write over 5kB onto the server, but it writes fine to the desktop.
