I'm trying to add FME Server Job Id to a report in Excel, but it doesn't seem to be populating. I have $(FME_Job_ID) assigned to the correct field. When I look at it in desktop, It is not set. I don't think I need to set it as I'm not in FME Server. Does the Job Id automatically get placed in the $(FME_JOB_ID) parameter? Or do I need to place something in it?

When you're running this workspace, are you running it on FME Server?
You're correct that in workbench you won't get a value for it, only when it's running on FME Server as it will have a job id then.
Are you able to share your workspace or screenshots of where you're using the $(FME_JOB_ID)?
If you add a Logger transformer into the workspace and put something in there like "Job ID is: $(FME_JOB_ID)" do you see that appear in the log file?

you can set FME_JOB_ID with a fake number to test the workbench in desktop. When you publish the workbench to the server, it replace the value with the correct one.
