How convert to .KML from .DWG ? how to know which transforms to use ?


Hi everyone, i hope you re doing well .

i need to convert some dwg files to kml , my internship boss told me to use FME .

i am new to FME , i am asking which transformers i need and how configure them ?

i will attach one of my dwg files. please see it and tell me how to proceed.

Try using the "Generate workspace" function in FME:

https://safe-software.gitbooks.io/introduction-to-fme-desktop/content/2.translations/2.02.generate-workspace.html

It will give you a starting point and you can take it from there.

In fact, i was told to create some FME Workflow to get the KML output, with attributes and so on .

and i am asking how can i do that ? and how to know which transformers to use ?

i really appreciate your help .

Did you already try the Generate Workspace function?

yes, i tried it , thank you for the information .

but my internship 's purpose is to create the dwg2kml FME Workflow , this is logical ,isn't it ?
