Thanks for posting the idea @gisinnovationsb. Could you share some details on the snapshot idea? Would it be just an image of the workspace? Maybe a pan/zoom UI? Feature Counts? What would be the most simple thing that we could do to help? What would be the ideal experience?

Hi @aaronkoning , for a start, just an image of the workspace would suffice I believe. If someone wants to look in more details then Desktop would be the tool I imagine.

There is a new feature – Workspace Viewer – that is currently in the latest beta of FME Server 2018.0 and I encourage everyone to check it out! Please note that all functionality and appearance is subject to change.

I would limit this functionality to viewing only (at the most). One of the reasons for advising FME Server to customers is the hiding of the technical functionality and offering the information created by the workflow.

This transfers the FME Server Web Interface into a technical tool again.

An option would be to be able to hide it through security settings.

FME Server 2018.0 has been released and the Workspace Viewer is now out in the wild! Please consider creating additional ideas for enhancements to this feature.

Workspace viewer's code should be used for a mobile App that would allow us to read/show the workspaces... Sometimes we exchange FMW and FMWT through Instant Messaging like WhatsApp. Thank you!
