I am trying to convert AutoCad files to FGDB with right p. So this part is ok but the problem is I need to files to write to NZTM so I can merge it with another dataset in NZTM. So far I am having no joy converting it to NZTM. I have tried reproject and coordinatesetter but this does not work.

What projection is the AutoCad file (i.e. do the coordinates actually make sense for a NZ projection). The reprojector, that you mentioned, is the answer but you will need to set the coordinate system for the features read.

Ok thanks good to know I am on the right track. The coordinate system been read is unknown. I have gone back to the person who supplied the autocad files to find that out.

Hi,

I don't think you will have projection information in AutoCAD files rather you have to verify with the help of the coordinates, whether the position of drawing file is valid or not. You can use either Reprojector or ESRIReprojector transformer to assign the projection.
