Hi @nic_ran, please consider voting for the following ideas regarding FME Server acting as a storage location for Named Connections (Database/Web) for FME Desktop to access:  https://knowledge.safe.com/idea/30811/make-named-connections-location-editable.html  https://knowledge.safe.com/idea/40459/download-database-connection-settings-from-server.html   If these do not cover the criteria that will satisfy your request, please consider adding a comment to one of the above, or creating a new idea.   We feel that the original request, "Allow easier access to FME Server resources from within FME Desktop", has been addressed with the 'Select File from Web > Browse FME Server' option available in FME Desktop.   ' Screenshot from FME Desktop 2017.1 depicting source file selection for a Text File Reader from an FME Server Resource.

FME 2017 has taken the first step in this journey and now allows for reader datasets to be selected from an FME Server Shared Resource.  Please continue this development and allow access to FME Server Shared Resources everywhere within the FME Desktop environment. For example, I would love to be able to store all of my SDE connection files up on FME Server and be able to access them from Desktop whether it's for a reader/writer, FeatureReader, etc.
