FME Server cannot connect to Oracle SDE --- Cannot connect to database client software failed to load. Be sure client software is installed and configure correctly. Oracle client is installed but still getting this error.

Have you checked that the bit-ness is the samme all over the board. Meaning that if you have 64-bit FME, you'll need the 64-bit Oracle client as well as the 64-bit ArcGIS libraries installed on the same machine.

Thanks so much for your answer. Turned out that a reboot after the installation of the oracle client was what we needed to do.
