Hi Team,

Can you please let me know if FME can write data into SDE geodatabase or not.

I need to automate spatial data creation process.

My sde geodatabase is in Oracle. SDE/ESRI version is 9.3.1, Geometry storage is SDE binary (BLOB) and feature dataset has geometric network.

Please share your expert views and any details which you can provide.

Many Thanks

Manoj

Hi @mojgarg,

Yes - FME supports Personal, File and Enterprise (or SDE) Geodatabases: https://www.safe.com/fme/formats-matrix/#search=sde

As you are using a retired version of ArcSDE, please see:

https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/22886/fme-compatibility-for-retired-esri-software.html

You would need FME 2009 to FME 2014 SP5 to work with ArcSDE 9.3.1

Note that as ArcSDE 9.3.1 is retired, the latest release of FME does not support it. Public documents that contain Esri Product Life Cycle information can be found at: http://support.esri.com/en/content/productlifecycles.

For information about FME version and Esri edition compatibility, please see: https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/1517/notes-on-fme-and-esri-versions-and-compatibility.html

For more information about the reader and writer in FME:

If you have access to FME 2009 to FME 2014 SP5, there are some how-to articles about working with geometric networks:
