How to convert LAS to DWG/DXF

Hello

I am totally new with fme software.

I work with a drone to capture land photos, then i process the photos and add land coordinates. The output is in LAS format.

When i try to enter this file to autocad map 3d, it's imported as one block and i cant manipulate the data.

So i need to convert the LAS file to DWG or DXF so i can work with the data

Is that possible?

Thanks

Hi @saadi112,

I believe the reason for that is because the DWG writer only writes the boundary of the point cloud, mentioned on the DWG Geometry Support documentation. It looks like one of our partners answered a similar question earlier this year and suggested to use a PointCloudCoercer to transform the point cloud to a individual points before writing to dwg.

Check out the full answer here: https://knowledge.safe.com/questions/29929/convert-las-to-dwg-or-dxf.html

Hope that helps!
