For all transformers it is possible to change the 'Transformer Name'. Why is not it possible for the FMEServerTransformers (at least in the version FME2016)? Is there a specific reason here?

I'm using the FMEServerJobSubmitter in my workspace very often, so i would like to be able to customize the name accordingly.

In FME 2017 and up you can easily change the name. Looking at the FMEServerJobSubmitter in FME 2016 that's being set up through a wizard. However, if you right-click it, or select it and hit F2, you'll still have the option to rename it.

Thanks for this fast answer.

Great that in the newer versions it is possible to change the name in the properties of the transformers quickly.

As a side note, my personal preference is to leave the transformer names as-is, since it makes it easy to see what type of transformer it is. If I need to attach a comment, I use an annotation (Ctrl-K after selecting the transformer), e.g.:

But, of course, in the end it's a personal preference :-)

I totally agree with @david_r on this one.
