Hello,

I have TIFF images that are 4 band blocks. It contains RGB imagery and an Alpha layer with more data. I would like to strip out the RGB to a sperate TIFF and the Alpha Channel into another seperate TIFF.

Is there anyway this can be done? All I can find is destroying the Alpha layer to strip out the remaining RGB channels.

Many Thanks
The RasterSelector can allow you to designate specific bands to "select". Other bands can be removed via the RasterBandKeeper.

In the case of the Alpha band being kept, you may want to change the interpretation when writing to TIFF. The RasterInterpretationCoercer would be a good one to look into in this case.

FMEPedia may have more detail and examples using these transformers.

Be aware of a concept called by Safe - multi-pipeline workflows. i.e. you can have one stream of transformers that take the RGBA and convert to RGB whilst having the same source point to another stream of transformers that could keep only the A band.
