Hi,

I installed FME Desktop 2017.1.1.1 under Linux and have obtained trial license code. It worked within that session. However, after I restarted the computer, FME asked for a license again. On Windows, there is no such issue.

Is this something expected? Any workaround?

Hi @crayxt

Did your registration key change? On some machines when they restart the key will change, which invalidates the licence.

This used to happen to me when I would start my computer with different peripheral devices attached. In virtualised environments or when someone installs to a network share this is more likely to occur.

I would request a new trial licence.

It looks like machine code changes on each reboot (cycling over 3 values). Does it matter if I unpacked Centos-7 version of FME Desktop 64-bit and use it on Fedora 27?

I have also 3 versions of kernel installed, is it somehow connected? I will cleanup older ones and will try to reboot couple times.

UPD: It looks like machine code change does not depend on installed kernels.
