We're currently implementing ElasticSearch for a major international NGO and want to use FME Server to periodically update the ElasticSearch index with data from heterogeneous sources such as Postgres, ArcGIS Server, Sharepoint, etc.

FME supporting recent versions of ElasticSearch would convince both us and our client that this is a scenario that is actively supported by Safe, both on the short and long term.

We do not need any specific functionality introduced in v7, but we need to see that Safe is committed to keeping up with major releases of this product.

We use elasticsearch on aws and have the option to move to 7. It would be good to have this and all the painful changes to type resolved. I like elasticsearch but this latest release is painful.

Agree, it would be great to get some traction on this. Being stuck on v6 feels... left out.

A bit late to the party but wanted to confirm we are committed to tracking the changes with elastic. The V7 change is a bigger one but the team is working right now on getting it into FME 2021 betas soon...

This will be a good improvment!

I've seen in the change log of fme desktop 2021 beta that elastic 7+ is supported. So i've dowloaded it and tried to connect to an elasticsearch 7.9.1, but it doesn't work. Do you have any information of when it will be fixed and if it will work for all 7+ (7.9.1 included) ?
