It would be great to create Subfolders in the Repositorys. So it would be easier to organize many workbenches in one Repository.

Yes, I have inherited a 2015 FME Server that was not maintained well. I've set up a new folder for our team and having sub folders would be a huge benefit until we try and clean up the 20 legacy folders that already exist.

For big and distributed organizations there will be good to do this and to assign that certain AD-groups could access these sub-repos

One of my clients has their organization divided in to 5 business areas and one of these have about 8 sub areas. The need is to create a master repository for the 5 business areas and then create 8 sub repos in one of the main repos. So the hierarchy would look like this:

  • - Business area 1
  • - Business area 2
  • - Business area 3

    • - Sub area 1
    • - Sub area 2
    • - Sub area 3
    • - Sub area 4
    • - Sub area 5
    • - Sub area 6
    • - Sub area 7
    • - Sub area 8
  • - Business area 4
  • - Business area 5
The idea for one of these business areas is to put general workspaces that all employees in a that area can use and then put more specific workspaces in the sub area repos.
