We have had to stop using Slack and instead use Google Chat for our workspace logging statistics. How do I go about posting to a Google Chat room directly from a workbench?

I haven't tried this myself but it looks like there's an API for the Google Hangout Chat that you could use, specifically this part on webhooks looks interesting.
