Question

DWG Writer - plan is exploded (arrows are not at the correct place)

Hello,

I am having trouble with an DWG plan containing arrows.

Workbench: Does changes in the model space and writes the modificated plan into a new DWG file. I am using a DGW styler just before the writer (I don' have selected more parameters).

Writer parameters: Preserve template paper space data: yes

Output (see image): Plan (green rectangle) and arrows (red rectangle) are seperated.

Does someone know why this occurs and has a handy solution?

Thank you!

What king of entities are the arrows? They can be from dimensions or leaders or polylines with different widths on each vertex or lines/polylines with arrow blocks on the ends...

Please supply some sample data.

Hi @caracadrian ,

the arrows are leaders, the path type says straight leaders.

I attached some sample data of the arrows.

@lgrie, is there any reprojection happening in your workspace? It kind of reminds of this post where Dave suggested that they needed to reproject certain dimension attributes that have a text override separately using CsmapAttributeReprojectors: DWG to DWG - Reproject Dimension

@jovitaatsafe No, not in the workspace itself. The projection is made by hand and the re-projected plan is then treated in a FME workbench.

Also the entity_type of the arrows is "leader".
