Hello everyone!

I create an app for field reports, not something very complicated.

I want to produce the reports in PDF format.

I used this guide:

https://community.safe.com/s/article/creating-pdf-cartographic-output

My question is for writing in Hebrew.

For some reason, I can not write the text in Hebrew in PDF.

This is what it looks like in workbench, the caption I want to appear as a title:PS_1And this is the output in PDF:

PS_2I tried to manipulate the PDFStyler, including setting up the writing system: Hebrew

And nothing helped.

any suggestions?

for example, this is how it is supposed to look like:

PS_3

Thsnks!

I wonder if it might be a font issue. Sometimes the PDFStyler seems to revert to a substitute font, if that doesn't have a Hebrew character set it won't work (although I'd expect "blank rectangles" to show up).

Could you attach that PDF here so I can have a look in Adobe Illustrator?

This is the PDF ,Although I used the Arial font, which is a Hebrew font.

In the meantime, I found a detour, not the most convenient, but works.

I used MapnikRasterize to create a sort of caption image.PS_1

But I wonder why he does not let me write in Hebrew ..

It looks like the Hebrew characters never even made it in to the PDF. Not sure what to say to be honest, other than inspecting the output of the PDFStyler to see if they're there.

After the PDFStyler there are the Hebrew characters ..

only when it writ it down to PDF it's disappear..
