Can anybody explain the workaround for when FME runs but reads the previous Writer that was there.

 

 

Explained:

 

I have .MIF files that I download from a GPS and input into FME every week.  FME is reading my last weeks file count when it should be reading the new file?  Even when I erase and re-add the new writer, it still reads my old ?  The features have the same name but I thought FME should recongnize it is a new Writer (because I erase all files in FME and re-add NEW) and thus have different feature counts.

 

 

Is their a CACHE somewhere in the workspace where I can empty to solve this issue?

 

 
Hi,

 

Try to rename your old .MIF files and place your new .MIF files in the folder location.

 

Make sure you are setting the correct path in the reader by verifying it in the reader properties.
