I'm trying to load a SHP file into an existing SDE Feature Dataset (MS SQL).

 

 

Using SDE30; however I cant see where you can specify a Feature Dataset? It will happily write to the Root.

 

 

I have found similar issues reported: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/fmetalk/STzkdjCzJfo however I'm still stuck.

 

 

Any assistance would be greatly apprieciated.

 

 

FYI I'm not a big user of FME.

Feature Dataset is a Geodatabase concept so there is no setting for this if you are using the ArcSDE (SDE30) writer. You need to make use of the Geodatabase (ArcSDE) writer instead and this does offer the option of setting the Feature Dataset in the Writer Feature Type Properties dialog box.
