order of fgdb fields

When creating a new file geodatabase feature class from an existing schema, native fields such as SHAPE_Length are appended to the end of the table, ie the last column.

 

 

Since it is possible to add new fields in arc, but not reorder them permanently, I am struggling to work out how to replicate a schema exactly where these fields are not at the end.

 

 

Any ideas?

Hi Owen,

 

Have tried using a template XML file? That will enforce the esri software to create the schema.
