I already have a lot of 3ds files with textures for building.

I'd like generate CityGML LOD3 data from these 3ds files.

For LOD3 data generating, I think the first and the biggest problem is how to classify Window, Door and Wall.

I think it is possible to crop or edit the window or door in 3D MAX.

But I don't know how to assign the properties such as Window, Door and Wall.

If you have any idea or experience, please share your experience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

I think you should be able to apply an appearance with a name 'window' or 'door' or wall in 3DMAX - FME can read the appearance names and you could filter based on these?
