I know you can incorporate FTP in a Esri Shape reader to pull a zipped shapefile but was wondering if you could do this for a zipped esri geodatabase?

David,

I'm just not sure where to apply the ftp string to go directly to the path. the string that contains the ftp site username password and path. where would I plug that in?

Hi,

try a syntax like the one described here: https://www.cs.rutgers.edu/~watrous/user-pass-url.html

David,

Thanks for that! But my primary question is how do I include that in a reader or in one of the "HTTP" related transformers? I have tried to put it into an Esri Geodatabase Reader but it does not take it. If you or someone knows how to set that up for an Esri Geodatabase could you possibly post an example of the Reader or Transformer. I know that is asking alot, but I have absolutely no clue where to plug that syntax in. As I said before it's easy to do on a shapefile reader ... Just not clear on a geodatabase.

Thanks in advance for any additional info and help!!!

Tony
