What we are thinking about to improve useability here is including Readers and Writers in the Quick Add similar to what we do with transformers now. As you probably know, currently you can just start typing over the canvas to search transformers, and click enter to add them.  The idea would be you could start typing something like "Shape" and then tab to search Readers, tab again to search Writers and then click to add the reader or writer.  This enhancement is not planned for the next release but should come sometime soon,
