  • Shapefile Writer: The keyword DIMENSION has an incorrect value: 'char(254)'. The value must be one of: AUTO, 2D, 2DM, 3DM

i have dragged and dropped a LL27 shapefile on to Fme workbench 2020.2. Then I add a writer. Set the output dimension as 2D and coord system as TX-S. Running this is giving the error as above.

The same workflow runs without errors in FME workbench 2017.1 In fact I do not have to set any dimension in 2017.1 The simple coordinate conversion from LL27 to TX-S runs normally.

Wondering what I need to tweak out here in 2020.2 to get the same result

 

Do you have an attribute in your data called DIMENSION?

 

How are you setting the dimension? seems weird indeed
