I am using Salesforce reader to read files from data loader - is this the correct approach?

I am getting the following error when I use the custom domain (https) with username and password (with or without security token): "Failed to obtain any schemas from reader 'SALESFORCE' from 1 datasets. This may be due to invalid datasets or format accessibility issues due to licensing, dependencies, or module loading. See logfile for more information"

My purpose is to read files from salesforce with lat/long and write to SQL server (enterprise geodatabase).

Any suggestions?

A working theory is that the proxy which is being used internally may be blocking the format from reaching Salesforce. @schatt15 plans to do more testing to confirm.

I was able to establish connection to salesforce custom domain without using http/https. The connection will need user name, password and security token.
