I have backed up my FME Server repositories with the FMESERVER reader to a Feature Store File, and restored it back to FME Server 2014 beta after installation.

That worked with every update from 2010 up to 2013. With FME Server 2014 now what is new, that there seems to be a service registration to be made, which means: When I open my repository on the FME Server admin Web UI, there are no services registered to any of the workbenches.

I have enabled all services before restoring the repository, but that didn't change anything. Only when I download, and re-upload every single Workbench manually, I can select the service I want (jobsubmitter) and then it's registered again.

I am wondering if there isn't any simpler method for migrating these, without manually register all of my 40+ Workbenches again and again with every new update.
Hi Juez,

Sorry to hear about that - sounds a bit painstaking. I happened to be doing some testing on this for FME Server 2014 and I didn't see this issue.  It looked to me like the service registration was coming along. But maybe I was restoring from a different version.

Would you please be able to send the ffs file you were restoring to support:

Can you tell me please what version of FME Workbench was used to create the FFS file and what version of FME Server it was reading from?

Thanks very much

Hi Juez

When you did the back-up to ffs did you include "FMEServerServices" in addition to the repositories you wanted? This might be the problem.

Thanks

Ken
