Hello,

I need to determine the direction of water flow in water network dataset. To this purpose I used NetworkFlow Oreintor as a key-transformer for this task. I presumed that this should be a very simple to perform and get correct results. However, for some river segments, results are incorrect and I cannot find explanation for that (got 'opposite' although verfied It had to be 'same').

Has anyone experience with tasks like this one?

Thank you.

Hi,

perhaps you could post more details here? An example of your input data and the results of the NetworkFlowOrienter compared to your expectations would be helpful.

Those two figures (first - correct result, second - incorrect result) illustrate an example where both adjacent river segments are digitized in the same way but flow orientation is different although with respect to the same destination node. Hope this gives a better light on this issue.

Hi,

sounds like you should send a small sample workspace with accompanying data to your dealer or to Safe support.
