How do I reduce the points generated from an Area Amalgamator?

So I have some areas that have gaps. I used an area amalgamator to combine them. It works really well. However, it makes the polygon/area have tons of points. Is there a way to reduce the number of points on the polygon? In the screenshots, before Amalgamation, the number of polygon points is probably 10-20. After, there are probably a hundred points that make up the polygon. All are very close together and could be removed and still keep the shape

A generalizer with a low tolerance should do the trick.

Thank you. I had tried that but it distorted everything. Lowering the tolerance way down did the trick
