  • Hi All, i am trying to use the new Trimble Connect connector introduced in FME 2023, but am not sure where to start when putting together a workbench that will download the data and output to a Shapefile for ingesting to an Enterprise GIS system

 I have no problem accessing my Trimble connect account through the connector and can see all relevant maps etc. but am unsure whether i need a reader to be connected and what that looks like. I want to download GPS data that is captured in Trimble connect and process it through into shapefiles based on the various layers in Trimble connect using FME. A side question would be whether or not the Trimble Connect connector can process image files as well that have been collected with the GPS points.

Hi @Trent Bradley​ I am not personally familiar with Trimble and their data, but I would suggest trying to connect to your data through FME first and see what the output features look like with Visual Preview and Feature Cache. If you are able to share images/screenshots of what your output looks like in FME that would be helpful in seeing where you are getting stuck and what next steps we might suggest.
