  • Hi all. FME workbench is giving me the following error when trying to read any type of file. The error is raised either when dropping a file or adding a reader. "Workspace generation failed. Parameter file was /private/var/folders..."

imageI checked into the library and the metafile is actually present

 

I am currently on MacOS 14 (Sonoma), but the error appeared also on MacOS 13.6 (Ventura).

I tried multiple FME versions from 2022 and 2023 (most recent 2023.1), but nothing changed. Each app was fully un- /installed and my machine restarted several times.

In the following page a found a similar. type of error, but no real solution was posted.

The linked issue was a result of the OS version not being supported as far as I can tell.

 

there are a couple of mac variations for different cpu types (intel or apply) - do you know which architecture your Mac is running on?

yes, the post only refers to compatibility issues. The only option available might be to downgrade to an older OS version.

Regarding my machine architecture, I did check and download the correct FME versions.
