How to change host for FME Server

Info:

We 2 server for FME Server and web application:-

- FME Server has been installed in server with IP B ( xx.xx.xx.123). port 8080

- Web Application installed in IP A ( xx.xx.xx.456). port 80

The web apps has domain name https://urdomain.com

Then, we use proxy so that FME server URL become https://urdomain.com/fmeserver.

 

Problem:

During installation, hostname being input as sysadmin with port 8080.

After run Workspace, the output can be downloaded via URL shown in figure below.imageHowever, remote user cannot access it as it supposely to use http://urdomain.com/fmedatadownload/results/XXXX.zip

 

What have been done:

My teammate then change service host from http://sysadmin:8080 to https://urdomain.com/fmeserver which then cause the workspace cannot be run.sys ti iplan 

It cannot be Run as it produce error 404.

Typically what we see are customers using a reverse proxy in a DMZ to allow public access, and the services are set up to be that of the reverse proxy. In your case the URL your 404 error is showing should be that of the core. That call is made from the FME Server Web Application to the Core and should not be using the load balancing URL. If you want to make a case we can take a deeper look at your installation. There are some questions I have about the two web applications and the reverse proxy.
