pathname seedfile FeatureWriter invalid with FME resource

In preparation for publishing and running a script on Fme Server, I

am writing the pathnames as follow in fme dekstop for the seed and cell files. The cell file is not red, while on the other hand the filename is not recognized for the seed file.

I am not quite sure why that is the case. In the normal writer of v8 this doesn't occur, but then I face other problems in terms undefined macro.

The problems don't occur when I use hard pathnames, but then they are not useful when I publish the script to FME server

This seems to be a bug in my opinion. Can you try this work around?

  • Create a 2nd file/folder parameter (which can be private)
  • In the 2nd parameter, input the string you are currently trying to input for the FeatureWriter seed file.
  • Then reference the 2nd parameter in the seed file input. It should make the input valid after that, but I'm not sure if it will actually run.
