Question

DWG styler not working

Badge +1

Hi, I have a landscape colored after value, and when I press inspector before features are written I can see them in perfect colors as they should, but when I open the written dwg in AutoCAD or Bentley Viewer everything is just red, and I dont know why. Pictures:

The lines in wireframe view and conceptual view etc is just the same color in Autocad even when the look fine when inspected jsut before written, I tried using Regions instead but doesnt work.

Are you using the DWG template setting in the DWG writer?

In that case the template will have defined colors per layer and the layer color will define the color for the output.

Hope this helps solving the issue.

Another issue might occur if your source is also DWG.

In that case the values for the color from the source are still available and the writer will use the "autocad_" attributes on the writer.

If this is the case, use the BulkAttributeRemover to remove all "autocad_" attributes, and force the writer to use the defined "fme_color".

The documentation shows the "autocad_color" attribute is removed by the DWGStyler, but does not mention the "autocad_layer_color" attribute.

It is worth the try if your source is AutoCAD too.
