FME for Home Use

We don't have a formal program for this yet but are getting closer to having something. I don't have the ability to turn this into an "Idea" but perhaps someone could post this over there and then the votes could be added so we could gauge the interest.

Lots of links have changed after the recent rebrand. Also, I'm not even sure that the Home Use license exists any more, there is no mention of it on the new site.

Just as a heads up to everyone out there wondering if they can renew their home use license, I received the following e-mail when applying for one.

"Thank you for your email. With the recent Safe Software rebranding which was launched on April 13th, our free license programs are also going through changes. The Home Use Program has been discontinued and will no longer be available for personal projects/ learning purposes.

If you would like to connect with an Account Manager to discuss your use case and/or your options to purchase a license though, I would be happy to make that connection. Can you please provide the following information so I can direct you to the appropriate person. 

Please note: We will no longer be issuing licenses for applicants using generic email domains.

Before I can continue processing your application can you please provide;

• Full Name of the company you are working for
• A link to the company website
• If multiple branches, please advise which branch office you are located in
• Your company email address, listing the company email domain
• A brief description of how you are planning on utilizing FME within your organization

I understand that this will cause an inconvenience but we are still the same company and as committed as ever to providing a great customer experience. It will just look different."

Unfortunately, and disappointingly for those of us with hobbyist FME projects, this is no longer an option. I assume the same for FME Server as well.

I also received the mail mentioned by @evanedwards​, and for sure I am quite sad 😞 to read that the FME Home License program has been discontinued. For those interested, there is this idea to re-establish some form of FME Home Licensing, which can be upvoted.
