Question

fme server job does not work when triggered from informatica

Badge

Hi Guys,

I have tested the workspace in workbench and published it into the server. When running the job manually from the fme server, it works. However when I call it from informatica http transformer, it does not work.

Under job history in fme server, it can be seen that the job is being triggered from informatica but the end result is not there.

I am trying to update a column in the database.

Thank you.

Have you checked the log to see if parameters have been passed to the workspace correctly.

Hi @chiaweijie1991, are you using the 'Direct URL Example' located under the 'Advanced' section found on the Run Workspace page for the URL in the trigger? I also wonder if the parameters have been passed correctly as @takashi questioned.

Edit: Or are you using the REST API /transformations/ call?

Hi I am using the direct URL example in the http transformation.

Hi I am using the direct URL example in the http transformation.

I did not set any parameters. Only input is the URL i believe. It is a 'POST' inside the transformer.

I recognize that it's quite possible your workspace does not require parameters to run correctly,... this may warrant an investigation outside of this forum – please consider contacting Safe Support if you have not yet resolved this issue. I think I would need to see your FME Server environment to get a better handle on potential causes.
