Transferring license to new computer

I am trying to reset my single fixed license using the licensing assistent. I have a new laptop and I would like to use the same serial number. I am trying to activate fme with the same serial number, but I am receiving errors. How do I fix this issue?

Probably your license type is Single-Fixed License.

"A single-fixed FME license is designed to enable FME to work on a single specified computer." -- Pricing and Editions

If you need to change the machine for using FME, contact your reseller.

It shouldnt be a problem to reuse a license if you have a new machine to run it on right? Delete it on the old machine.. reinstall on the new machine. Should I call esri?

Well, it seems to work now. By deleting the old license files in the fme license folder. Anyhow, problem solved ^^ Thanks for your answer!
