Question

Clip Solids with TIN-Surfaces

Hi,

My problem is quite close to the one with the roof-models. But I want to get the whole building as a solid because I'm interested in it's volume.

I have a TIN for the ground and a TIN for the roof. For the walls I can extrude the polygon to a solid. Is it possible to cut back the solid to the two surfaces?

Or do I have a chance to get the volume between the two surfaces for each polygon without physically building up the model? As a result I need to add the volume as an attribute to a polyline, polygon or solid to identify to which building it refers.

Right now I only have access to 2014 Version

Here some data if anyone would like to test with it.

The link refers to a FTP-Server

I think i can get to my result with CSGBuilder.. If I extrude my Polygons in positive and my Roof-Tin in negative Z direction i should be able to extract the Intersection between the two solids...

It's not running yet but could be the solution...
