Updating ESRI Network datasets

I have never tried to generate turn features using FME (not sure if it's possible), but: It is possible to truncate / re-write network datasets with FME. In my experience, it might be necessary to delete the network definition first, as it might either block the write access or slow things down considerably.

 

 

I have had good luck updating network datasets by 1) deleting the network definition, 2) truncating and re-writing the junction and edge datasets using FME, and 3) re-creating the network definition.
