I want to know about 2 questions:
1. Is the license attached to the HDD or MB?
2. Can it be upgraded from HDD to SSD?

I’m not sure but I think it’s connected to the mac-address of the ethernet adapter.
However, it’s no problem to move the license from one machine to the other. See this article for instructions.
