It seems FME Server 2021 is still having problems with SSO as described in "Known Issue: FME Server SSO failed login due to insufficient credentials"
Is this known and is SAFE working on the issue? Or are there other solutions/workarounds?

That specific issue should have been resolved in 2019.2 and we've not had any other reports to indicate that the same issue has been re-introduced, whilst it is possible there are a number of other reasons that could also cause SSO to fail.
I'd recommend you start by reviewing the troubleshooting guide and if this does not help you resolve your issue please share the fmeserver.log. If you'd prefer not to share this online, you can open a case directly with Safe Support.
