Will the FFS reader transformer successfully read an FFS file that was created a decade ago?

I understand that FFS is an internal file format to FME, and presumably it gets updated with each new version of FME. Will the FFS Reader handle an FFS file that was created by an older (a decade old) version of FME?

We try to maintain backwards compatibility as much as possible, so I think you should be able to read the old FFS file in the latest release of FME.
