Type-To-Add Transformer

Hi, i have been following the raster tutorial and working on clipping. The tutorial notes that i should be able to add a transformer by clicking in the white space but this only seems to allow me to add a constant.

Is someone able to help me understand what im doing wrong.

Thank you

Carolyn

Try watching this from exactly 2 minutes in to the video http://youtu.be/KbfAEYMDZZg I think what is being refered to is the "Quick Add" functionality where you click somewhere on the canvas and type for example "clipper" you'll see a list of possible transformers which you can arrow up or down between then press return or left mouse click to add it to the canvas.

Hi,

Just start typing : Clipper on the canvas a list of available transformers will show.

I am not entierly sure about this but from FME 2011 and onward this functionality should be available.

If you have a newer version of FME Desktop it should work.

Did you have a look at the FME options in the Tools menu.

It has a setting for Quick Add:

Quick Add functionality was only available from FME 2010 I believe, so you might have an older version perhaps?
