Hello

I see this missing Linked Custom Transformer error when I opened the workspace in PROD FME server. But this transformer is already present in Shared resources folder. I tried to add in workspace and other options, but was unable to add the custom transformer.

I also have last save info. We didn't upgrade FME version. It's the same version before this error and at the time of this error.

LAST_SAVE_BUILD="FME(R) 2015.1.3.2 (20160108 - Build 15575 - WIN32)

Please advise. Thank You in advance.

please check the following link, there is a link to step by step how to upload the linked transformers.

https://knowledge.safe.com/articles/143/custom-transformers-and-fme-server.html

I suggest you delete the existing custom transformer from FME Server shared resources folder then re-publish from FME Desktop (https://docs.safe.com/fme/html/FME_Desktop_Documentation/FME_Workbench/Workbench/options_default_paths.htm)

Yes, you don't mention how you got the transformer onto the Server. I would try and republish with the transformer:

  • If it's published to the same repository, then any workspace in that repository can use it (but not workspaces in other repositories).
  • If it's published to a resource folder all workspaces should have access to it.

...or you could use the Resources part of the FME Server interface to upload the transformer. That's probably easier when you are wanting all workspaces to have access to it.
