Basemapping available to our org is limited. Several are dark or the level of colour obfuscates point geoms in particular. Can we have a basemapping transparency/colour intensity setting?

You can do this already in Visual Preview/Data Inspector. Find the Data Display tab, click on the cross hair icon of each layer to find

  1. Under Symbology, you can adjust:
    • Opacity / Transparency
    • Colour (fill and outline)
    • Line width
    • Point size
    • Label settings

Changing opacity is especially useful when:

  • Overlaying multiple datasets
  • Comparing source vs processed data
  • Visualising dense polygon layers
