How to use the NDVI calculator

Hi I have a near infrared jpg. In the data inspector it says Band 0 (GRAY8). When I look at the NDVI calculator I see two ports (Red, Infrared). I've seen somebody used something like this: I don't know how to configure the testfilters so they give the correct output. Can somebody tell me if that's the way to go and if so how to configure the testfilters?

ListSearcher added output port attribute becomes <missing>!

I'm adding an attribute to the output ports on the ListSearcher transformer, and it fails. The new attribute is created on the features, but the value became <missing>. Doing the same on other transformers works. Have anyone else experienced this?(I'm on FMEdesktop build 20817)

Can anyone help me with creating a workspace for comparing two DEM models? Let's say that an area was scanned twice and now my task is to create a map showing elevation difference. I would like to export a raster with RGB colour scale.

How to change the min or max from a raster

Hi I would like to mosaic some geotifs togheter to make a DTM from a larger area. Some of the geotif tiles have a min of -9999. If you load the tile in QGIS it's completely blank. If you check the rastervalue's they give the correct height. So it's only cosmetic, the data is ok. You can adjust the min in QGIS, resulting in a much better result. I tried to change the min of the geotifs with a negative min in FME. I use the rasterbandminmaxextractor followed by a simple tester. So far it works, but now I want to change the min to 0. I used the attributemanager and I used the rastercellvaluereplacer. They both don't work. I've also tried the rasterinterpretationcoercer a bit, but it changed the values. How should I fix this ?

Can I iterate over all tables within ESRI Enterprise Geodatabase and extract ID's of different column names?

I have many tables in my ESRI SDE, within most of these tables they contain an Asset_ID, this colmn name varies, it could be many things including AID, AssetID, ASSETID, Asset_ID etc. I need to extract all rows from all tables where the Asset_ID field is present, and has been populated, then push the row into a GeoPackage. That part I am OK with, I just have never worked with the first part, iterating over n number of tables, searching for a varying field name. Can anyone provide any comments or samples to get me off the ground here? I greatly appreciate you taking the time. Kind regards, Ben

AttributeCreator Attribute Name Sorting

How can I turn off the alphabetical sorting of attribute names using the import feature of the attribute creator? There's a "Sorted" option in the wizard but it doesn't seem to do anything?

Updating ArcGis directly from SQL server

I was looking into connecting directly SQL server to arcgis and ran into issues when using the update feature in the writer's field, can this be fixed? as when I have it on update I get number of errors, I have found a work around that issue by setting up insert and truncate features instead of update but this is taking too long, any idea why I the update feature is causing issues? and can it be fixed?

Looking for a how-to for sending data to FME Server via REST service.

I'm trying to learn how to leverage FME Server with web services and have a couple of questions. Been following a few tutorials and built a workbench that:Reads a JSON file using TextLineReader Massages the dataWrites data to databaseNow I would like to publish this as web service... basically I'd like to be able to send JSON to an FME URL and let server pick it up there. I know you it's possible to run a workbench from a URL. But every tutorial I've tried to follow to do this has led me nowhere. I always end up unable to publish to Data Streaming service because there "Nothing To Select".Would appreciate any guidance as to what tutorial might work for me. Can someone convert a Revit / IFC file into an ArcGIS Pro file ( .gdb file) for me. I don't have an ArcGIS pro licensed account to do this.

I need this for my post-graduation project and I would be very grateful to you guys if you can do this for me😥 😥

How does one get a total count of each feature subtype in a gdb?

Ideally I can read in the whole gdb and export to a csv that simply states the feature subtype and its total count of features. I know that exposing the "geodb_subtype_name" needs to happen to get those values. Can I avoid importing all of these and simply go from my single gdb reader, to the transformers that will give me the totals of each subtype? Below shows all the features that will then have subtypes within each one. I need to know the total of each subtype.

Can not open jpeg2000 in photo editting programs

Hi I just made a jpeg2000, but I can't seem to open it in Photoshop or Gimp. Photoshop says that it can't parse the file. Gimp says it can't decode the file. yet I can easily open it in Qgis . Is there something I'm missing or is this normal?

How to properly use indices{} in CoordinateExtractor ?

I have run into some quirky polygons and wanted to see how many nodes/points they consist of. In SQL Server, I can do:Select [SHAPE].STNumPoints()FROM <mytable>where id = 'abc' -- result: 45 When I use the CoordExtractor, I'm prompted to specify the indices of x-coordinates and y-coordinates I want to extract, or I can choose "All Coordinates' and then later extract those I'd like to take a look at. But it turns out, I can ask for index 100,000, and FME will return something that looks like coordinates. Am I not doing this right, or misinterpreting the nature of these indices?

The IFC reader does not support 'IfcSweptDiskSolid'..??

Greetings, One of the sales pitches for FME is that it handles IFC well. Safe also recommends IFC as the transport format from Revit to FME.Imagine my surprise when I get the following message when trying to parse a file containing IFC rebar elements:"The IFC reader does not support the following type: 'IfcSweptDiskSolid'. All instances of this type will be skipped" So, in other words FME has poorer support for IFC than many open source converters? Is this correct or is there any way to augment or rectify this situation?If so FME will remain a viable tool for us, otherwise we'll have to move elsewhere. Thanks in advance!

How to create an attribute from a JSON response?

I'm reverse geocoding (XY coordinates to addresses) and I'm getting some business names back instead of the actual address. The data I need is in the full JSON response, but I don't know how to access this information. After looking closer into the JSON results I found that the address I'm given is a short hand version of the data. I want the _arcgis_longlabel, instead of the _address field. How can I extract this specific attribute from the json response?

Is it possible to make the httpcaller Request URL dynamic so that it includes the attribute from a record going to the htttpcaller?For example: If I have records 1, 2, and 3 going to the httpcaller and I have a base URL of https://api/, can I dynamically make the URL https://api/1, https://api/2, and https://api/3 for each corresponding records?

Convert trajectory CSV to GPX from Mobile Mapper

How to use FME_HOME Parameter with Microstation DGN Files?

Hi Guys,I'm wondering why I cant use $(FME_HOME) System Parameter on DGN Writer parameter for path to seed and cell files? When I use this parameter I'm presented with an input error and can't run the workspace. Setting up correct path to seed and cell files is mandatory to any workspace built upon this file format. But it can't hold true that any client is requested to set up these FME specific path!? Looking forward to hearing any suggestions from you! Thanks Whkarto
