Left Outer Join and maintain record order

I have 2 readers. I am trying to add new fields and values from the 2nd reader to the 1st reader if there is a match. There isn't always a match and I want to keep the order of the records in the output. I'm trying both featuremerger and feature joiner but neither are reproducing what I expect.The featurejoiner failed because not all job records have a lineID. I still want all jobs in the output. One note is there the Lines have a 1:M relationship with Jobs. There is only 1 line record that would populate the output new fields.Thanks!

Hi, I am new to FME. I have a Mapinfo TAB file from UK Mastermaps which contains the map text ( housenumber, streets etc). I would like to conert it to gdb annotations to be used in arcgis.

Create same geometry with different attributes

Hi, I have a polygon layer that represents the building footprint (attribute: building id). In .csv I have a list of apartments (attributes: building id, Apartman id). One building consists of x apartments. So, I need to x duplicates of the building footprint and each clone needs to have a different apartment id. I used the FeatureMerger to join shp and csv and clon to create duplicates of geometry but all duplicates have the same apartment id.

How to replace features of one GML file in another using gml id

Hi everyone. I have 2 gml files and want to replace some buildings from one of them in the other one using their gml id. I tried feature joiner, but it doesn't work. Can somebody helps me with that? Many thanks in advance

Intersector Resulting in Unexpected Segments and Nodes

I am using Intersector in FME Workbench 2022.0 Beta and it is resulting in unexpected nodes and segments in our data. We are running the beta because of issues with other transformers. Any ideas? Sample data attached in a ZIP.

FME 2021.2 will be the last FME version to support 32-bit! FME 2022 onwards will be 64-bit only. Most formats already worked on both 32- and 64-bit platforms, including ones you might think of as mostly 32-bit, such as File Geodatabase, Microsoft Access, and Smallworld. But some formats are 32-bit only and will therefore be missing from future FME versions. We will try and supply patches (to 2021) if necessary and where possible, but we really do encourage users to upgrade to 64-bit. For more information, read this article on our knowledge base. FME Desktop 2020: Deaggregating the result of clipper tool produces extra unexpected polygons, I’m wondering why deaggregating the inside result of the clipper tool produces extra unexpected polygons. I’m expecting to have exactly 8 polygons while the result is 12 What could be the issue here? The workbench and the dwg file are attached

Is AttributePivoter broken? Or is it some python integration?

AttributePivoter has started failing with a "WARN |Python Exception <TypeError>: '<' not supported between instances of 'str' and 'float'".Prior to sending features into AttributePivoter I validate the features and they all pass as numeric .I am aware of numerous workarounds and custom transformers - I am just curious about this error.I hope the image is sufficient information - the Transformer Parameters are on the left hand side. PS: I tried numerous python installations - including my OSGEO4W 3.7 - and both FME 2020 and FME 2021.

Good morning, I am completely new to the FME world. I am trying to run a workbench that takes on-line data and writes it to a simple feature service and I am getting an error. I was wondering can someone give me some idea how to approach solving this

I am creating a job to read structured text files and test the values in particular columns against a set of allowed terms. This involves establishing lists of the data columns, however the column names and positions are never the same.

I am trying to use the Attribute filter to only see the columns i'm interested in (those containing the text 'lith') and using it's _element_index to filter the columns (lists). Its not working and I'd like some help or advice on better ways to solve this problem. The job will read in a database table of values to check against, but i'm not there yet as I first need to find / isolate the relevant columns of interest. Can you set both the layer and the object data table name when writing to a dwg with Object Data?

I want to create dwg's with object data with FME. The problem I run into is that the names for the layers and the object data table end up being the same, which makes the data hard to use in Autocad Map 3D. I have attached an example workspace to illustrate my problem. What I would like to achieve in this setup would be for the output file to be identical to the input. For this example I start with a dwg with one object data table Vegetation and two layers, Bos_groen and Ruw gras_groen. I read this, do nothing else, and write it to a new dwg. My end result has both polygons in the right respective layer, but their attributes in two different object data tables, with the names from the layer. My problem is illustrated in two screenshots. In my sourcefile Object data table and and layer are distinct values, Vegetation and Ruw gras_groen respectively.In my output the layer and the names of the object data table are both Ruw gras_groen, the other polygon has Bos_groen for both, nothin

Repair ESRI Geometry errors

Hi, We have an FME workbench to extract features from PostGIS, run through a GeometryValidator to identify and repair features, then written to an ESRI geodatabase. However when loading features from the Geodatabase in ArcMap, some features are prevented from loading due to geometry errors, such as self intersects. Is there a way to configure FME to match the geometry validation routine performed by ESRI and if possible repair these?

Strategies to process huge datasets?

This is more of a hypothetical question, I don't have a problem that needs solving, but am pondering the possibilities and limits of FME.What are the strategies to process huge datasets? I would imagine that there is a limit to the resource management that FME can do on its own? At some point the software might need some "help" in order to break down the data in manageable chunks? How is this done? Tiling? Memory management? Renting a super computer? Etc?Trying to think of an example I came up with the following idea. How would one go about generalizing the contour lines for a whole country in one run without watching life go by? Please note that I am not asking about how to generalize, my question is what strategies there are to speed up huge processing operations similar to the example above?

I am using the KafkaConnector and want to connect to the schema registry with authentication. The connector allows to configure a schema registry , but without authentication. I get a unauthorised error when I run the connector.

I tried to configure a http web-connector but without success. Does somebody know how to solve this?

I have multiple JPEG with corresponding location information in csv file. can anyone suggest me how to geotag those images?

Hi,We are looking to decrease the total time converting from Geotiff tiles to CADRG. The bulk of the time is in the CADRG writer. Are there any ways to process frames in parallel?If we divided the region into smaller regions and created multiple CADRG output sets simultaneously could we then merge them together?Are there any other parameters we could try settings to increase performance?Processing a 300x300 nautical mile region takes around 6 hours using a TC map type. Is that normal given the size of the input region and requested map type (resolution)?Thank you.

Convert MrSID to MBTiles (raster)

Hi, I seldom work with rasters so my question is basic, is the canonical way to convert MrSID to MBTiles to read pyramid level 0 from the SID, pass the image through WebMapTiler (with any zoom level filtering you need, or hands-free auto mode) then write to MBTiles with fanout expression @Value(_zoom_level) and feature type Somename_@Value_quadkey)? How can write a CityGML 3.0 file , what i need?

Hello, We run many hundred python scripts each night consisting of GIS, Exports, Reports etc. Reported to a single folder Logging Folder. Once finished we run a script to evaluate the Logs for Failure, Error/s, and other key words.The issue is we have been moving over the FME for many of our Exports, and we would like to evaluate thoughts logs as well. We have an Export folder with multiple folder projects, and each has a Log folder for the FME Workbench.Question is can / how can we copy the Log files from the Export logs to the Logging Folder for evaluation at the end of each workbench with the key phrase “Translation was SUCCESSFUL”?? Can we log to two locations at the same time?? How can / should we iterate the Export folder?? Mind you not all Exports run every night. Thx for any help.
