Could I get road map Geometry from Google maps to enter as input data in FME

Hi,

i Would like to have the road map geometry as input from Google maps or any other app.

and use it as input data to FME to define which cable located at this road and so on .

You should first use Google Earth to create a kml file. You won't get vector lines from Google map as input.

There's no way to get the road data that Google uses into FME.

Hi @gogopotter90​, you could try using OpenStreetMap, which is an open source community built dataset that contains road data in it.

Alternatively, local universities and city open data portals are also great resources for geospatial datasets (and usually road datasets).
